No Traffic on the Death Road

After watching a few episodes i found it interesting that the was not much traffic on the Death road considering footage i have seen years ago that showed back to back cars on it. Made me wonder so i looked it up and i found that the road is hardly used anymore, a new road has been built and the only people that use there death roads are tourist attractions and thrill seeking mountain bikers. Guess the IRT drivers could be called more thrill seekers than actually working to deliver loads

They mentioned the new road, but also said that the old road is the only way to a lot of little towns that still need supplies. Or maybe I saw that one a documentary ... but doesn't matter, the old road is still in use, just not as much as before.

There's a few shots where you can see groups of mountain bikers, dressed in matching jerseys, off to the side of the road, presumably waiting for the trucks and SUVs to get out of the way.
