Mmm I didn't know the ages of the actors but I thought they looked more like sisters and brother than parents and daughters. Strange casting decision.

Well I suppose one way to look at it is marriage and kids were on the agenda much younger back then. A friend of mine had her first son at 19 and he's now almost 30 so it does still happen but not as much.

While in a scene we heard wife and husband talking and we learn he isn't 50, yet, so Ben and Saskia are perfect for the roles.
And in my opinion the 2 girls seem much younger than their real age.
