But yet they have nice houses and flash cars, there's no way their parents pay for all that. I mean Joey, what exactly does he work as? I've not watched a lot of episodes so i don't know a great deal. I know Mark is a semi professional footballer but at least he has some clue where the houses of Parliament are.

Mark and probably Lydia are the least thick out of the lot. I honestly don't know where they all got their money from when most of the girls seem to work as beauty therapists and retail assistants (oh, and 'models'). Maybe the show makes them out to be flasher than they really are.

shareSome of the girls do, but I don't think any of the boys really work. They don't get paid a lot for the show (£80 per episode they feature in, I once read), but yeah, they'll get most of their money from appearances, sponsorship deals etc.

Apparently the OP never heard of the American's (cough cough) "Jersey Shore" or any of the other filth that passes as "reality" TV shows. TOWIE is more like Jersey (all flashy exteriors with cash and bling and fake tans and drama,...and the conviction that few if any of them made it out of high school, and if they did, it was because their parents pressured,--ie: paid,--for that to happen).
Lauren G isn't thick,...and Lauren P comes in as a close second (she just has a few "doe in the headlight moments where her brain freezes over).
Of all of them, Amy still appears the most sincere and most genuine. Not necessarily bright,...maybe a 3-watt give or take,...but at least Amy is sincere.
