What was the point? Spoilers!

SPOILERS!

Ok so I thought maybe they all killed him so they were throwing the cops off, but since he accidentally died, what was the point of the different stories? I didn't get the point? Can anyone explain?

They didn't know his death was an accident. The girls were all mentally ill and each of them were probably afraid of being blamed, so they blamed each other.

I have seen the eternal Footman hold my coat, and snicker.

Some if not all of them were lying. It would be a more interesting writing excersize if they weren't lying but telling the truth from different POV. However some of them were lying. That's the point.

Yes, that's exactly the point. At least two, probably all three, lied in a way clearly calculated to point to one of her sisters as the murderer. I say all three most likely were lying because of the extreme, over-the-top way their stories were presented. While it's possible one of the versions was factually correct, the outrageous behavior was wildly exaggerated on purpose.

And the point is that each of these three women, for all their sisterly bonding and "let's be BFFs and move in together", had only a few minutes earlier been busily trying to set up one of the others. They weren't really better people or mentally healthier than they had been before, which makes the father's actions just before his death, when he apparently decides to save them from drinking the poisoned sangria, ironic and sad. They are just like him.
