Reminds me a little bit of 'Memories of Matsuko'

I think thousands of movies and tv dramas have been made and there are only so many plots to go around.

I haven't seen this movie yet but it reminds me of a comedy made years ago by Tom Selleck. He played a desperate mystery novelist who has run out of ideas so he and some retired people attend real murder trials. They attend because it is free entertainment. No court tv in those days.

Anyway, he becomes intrigued by a beautiful Russian woman accused of murder who refuses to talk and goes her bail. He soon finds himself over his head.
