actually great in this film i can't imagine someone else playing snow white and the hate that she was wooden???? this movie is a dark retelling not like the disney movie and for the haters imagine yourself locked in a tower for 10 years when you get free you will sing and dance ??? i hope you can see that she is great actress.
Always having your mouth open doesn't mean emoting my friend. Her eyes are always dull and expressionless, and the eyes are the most important part of an actor
I couldn't agree more with you.. I totally think that cast wise Kristen was both physically and professionally the best choise for the role of Snow White. What other people call "wooden" or even "no expression acting" about her is actually really good and deeply expressive/emotional acting to me.
First of all no one has given you the right to speak to us like that. Secondly, since you hate her acting so much, how come you participate in such a message board concerning one of her films. It seems really weird to me you even bother..
Oh look the delusional person who comments on all of Kristen Stewart's movies professing their love for her. You're not biased at all! She isn't a great actress, and she never will be unfortunately.
You again don't you have anything other than trash this girl and are you checking every movie of her and every post and comment wow even her die hard fans don't do that and stop acting like a kid and calling people delusional since no one is delusional other than you go comment on batman and stay there
Um, her die hard fans have been talking about her on IMDB for 6 years, you delusional person. Let me know when I've been here even a year before you start comparing me to the delusional legion of people who support everything she does. Why don't you make me?
She was wonderful! It was a very realistic performance. Honestly, people just like to call her wooden and things because she was in twilight and oftentimes she plays characters who are going through bad times.
I liked her too in this, I like most of the performances I've seen of hers that isn't Bella Swan, I've not seen any of her recent work but I've been hearing a lot of great stuff about them. I think she made a smart decision sticking to indie films post-Twilight.
Also people slagging off her portrayal of Snow White should look at the competition, Lilly Collins and Kristin Kreuk for example were so bland and one-note in their portrayals they made Stewart look Oscar-worthy. Also Snow White from the Disney movie was quite bland as well, still way more memorable than Kreuk and Collins. Granted I've not seen every version, like Tale of Terror so I don't know what Monica Keena's portrayal is like. Honestly the only portrayal I like more than Kristen's is Ginnifer Goodwin and even then I guess a lot it is because she's given a whole TV series to portray many different sides to the character.
People didn't call her acting wooden because she didn't sing and dance. It was a dark retelling, but just because she's covered in dirt and holding a sword doesn't automatically make her a badass. In truth, the movie was awful at establishing Snow White as some heroic figure to rally behind. We are told how special she is, but neither the actress nor character sell it.
I cannot count how many times Stewart just had a gaping mouth. She was bland and robotic. I have seen her work outside of blockbusters such as Still Alice. She was definitely better in that, but I'm not seeing any remarkable performance at all.

I don't get the hate towards her. I actually loved her as snow white. The second movie felt like a half ditched effort to capitalize on the first movie. While there were some good things...I found it lacked the magic of the first. It's a shame that a scandal scared the studio off.
