Give it up people...
Snow White and the Huntsman/Eric are not and never will be in love with one another...
In my opinion, the movie really confused people with that kiss. How people see the relationship between Snow White and the Huntsman as being "true love" is beyond me. I don't think that they were in love, and I don't think that he was in love with her. I never got even an inkling that the Huntsman was in love with Snow White. Of course, I have only seen the extended version. I'm not sure if it is presented differently in the theatrical version or not, but in the version I saw, he was not in love with her and she certainly wasn't in love with him. He spent the entire movie in various states of drunkenness while pining for his dead wife the whole time and acting like a complete jerk. I think Snow White reminded him of his wife, but that doesn't mean he loved Snow White, just that he greatly missed and loved his wife. Snow White and William clearly loved one another in the true sense of the word. William made his love more evident, but Snow White didn't exactly deny her feelings either. The Huntsman and Snow White spend the majority of the movie at odds with one another, mostly him insulting her. He eventually grows to respect and admire Snow White, after learning who she is and what she will eventually do for the kingdom. Snow White eventually gains respect for the Huntsman as well, because he saved her life and because he is helping her get to safety. Mutual respect (and eventual friendship) does not equal true romantic love.
Think about it...when Ravenna tricks Snow White into biting the poisoned apple, does she disguise herself as Eric/the Huntsman? No. She disguises herself as William, and after she succeeds in poisoning Snow White, she says "You see, child. Love always betrays us..." meaning she used Snow White's love for William to trick her. And it worked. When William kisses her and she doesn't wake up, that doesn't mean that he doesn't love her. It just means that this version of the story put a twist on it. And when the Huntsman kisses Snow White and she wakes up, that doesn't mean that he loves her or that she loves him. When he kisses her, he is thinking and speaking of Sarah. Sarah is his true love. Maybe it was not just the feelings but also the tears that he shed onto her skin that helped awaken her. To me, it is obvious that William loves Snow White and feels true heartbreak when she dies in his arms. Maybe neither kiss worked, and Snow White just happened to wake up on her own after being kissed by Eric...pure coincidence. Or maybe it takes two kisses from two hot guys to wake a princess up from a cursed slumber. Who can really say?
Additionally, I felt that Kristen Stewart had a lot more real chemistry with Sam Claflin than she did with Chris Hemsworth. Like I said before, where people get the love thing between Snow White and Eric is beyond me. I simply don't see it. I guess I can see how and why they tried to set it up that way (because Chris Hemsworth is hot, though certainly not hotter than Sam Claflin, imho). I also think it's worth noting that in the traditional story of Snow White, the Huntsman doesn't kill her because feels sorry for her as she begs for her life and eventually leaves her alive in the woods, thinking some wild animal will kill her so he doesn't have to....
