towards zero (Spoilers)

I have just watched this again and it is even sillier this time.
A man takes off his clothes to swim across a lake - does the dirty deed - but not before changing into another suit. Did I miss something, because then he takes off said suit - swims back and dons his original suit which was stinking of fish which he didn't seem to think anyone would notice. His hair would have been soaking wet likewise his shirt because he had no towel to dry himself off with. Left on the beach - chances are his suit would have been wet too.
How did the bloodied fire knob find it's way onto the top of a tennis racket because it was in place when the detective found it.
They also seemed to have very rapid fingerprint results without benefit of a lab.
And as for the supposed murder weapon - "Can I see that?" and it is handed over obligingly with no form of protection to preserve any evidence. Typical Christie.

Well, that's the way it was in the book. I just realized that the murderer's method of creating an alibi in here is actually quite similar to The Sittaford Mystery, and they made the two episodes consectively.
