Too many cuts

I liked the movie. I understand it was a low budget and was expecting a lot of time spent on things that aren't shown. There's indeed a lot of time of people walking in circles on the "woods" trying to not show they were on the same place and the fence was just a dozen meters from them.

I got scared anyway, so it was good.

But there was too many cuts. They are walking somewhere, then the scene is cut and they are a bit farther.

That annoyed me. I suppose that they were in places that they had nowhere to go, without revealing they weren't lost at all. Then they had to move somewhere else to restart recording.

But if it is a found footage movie, if they all died and the 2 cameras were found and no edition could have been made... where did those cuts come from?
