So yeah I watched the first 5 min and

Seriously, what the *beep*?

In the first few min you realize that this zombie outbreak has been going on for a while since they know of its existence and the electricity in the house has been out for a while.

Yet still they made so many mistakes. Why the *beep* would the father go out to check some "noises" when all he got is a flash light, if anything it just reveals his own location. Second of all, why would the mother follow him? It was so *beep* stupid. Just lock the door and hide inside the house until the sun had risen again.

Why had they not covered the windows with some clothing or smth? There were light in their house so it'd be easy to spot from miles away.

When the mother goes up into the room with the girl, why is she focusing the flash light on the camera towards the girl instead of the door and trying to find something to protect herself with. It was like she already thought it was game over. But if that was the case then why didn't she hug her girl and said she loved her, isn't that what any mother would want to do if they knew there was a huge risk of getting killed within a minute or so.

Also the zombie looked like crap. Maybe this is a low-budget movie, haven't really checked that out, but I'm guessing it is. However that is no excuse for THAT poorly written scenes.

The worst thing about zombie movies isn't that it often lacks a story. It's all the same - a virus spreads and people try to survive. But I like those kind of movies. The worst thing about the zombie movies is that the characters do so many unlogical choices and mistakes and they're supposed to be the last ones standing in our world. *beep* me.

Not gonna bother watching the rest. At least not today.

An important point was missed. The idiot didn't even bother to close, let alone barricade the door. She just sat next to her daughter and filmed the zombie a it attacked. It's good they died. Thin the herd.

I wanted to like this movie and I did have some laughs, but it got too boring. I still don't understand what it is with the directors and zombie rape. I guess when they were teens they were in the back of the theatres masturbating everytime a female zombie showed up on screen. Lol

its a shame really cos this movie and the first had so much potential. like .. if the writing and acting wasnt so awful, it would be a decent zombie flick that id happily buy and add to my collection. but the things the characters do as mentioned above and the cheesyness of their dialogue just ruin it.

"this movie is easily one of the worst joke of a films i've seen in a while. worse than the first movie."

....And that's saying something!

If you think this movie is crap in the first five minutes because of these "mistakes" that were made then you must think half of the 70s and 80s is pure diarrhea. Quite frankly this movie does nothing movies in this genre from the past hasn't done and isn't bad mouthed for.

"Fifty bucks never killed anybody."

We're 30 or 40 years past those times as you say, and yes, not many zombie movies from that era have stood the test of time. At least back then they were relatively original.

It makes you wonder if the writers and directors have learned nothing or if they're just determined to make another bad zombie movie that will be forgotten.

I actually liked the first five minutes of the movie-afterwards, it takes a pretty steep dive quality wise.

I hadn't actually seen it when I made my first comment.

I watched it last night and was not expecting muh, but I was actually quite surprised at how good it was. It's certainly not great but it's a decent enough zombie movie. It's much better than some that would've cost a lot more to make (Flight of the Dead for instance).

The first 5 minutes has been played out pretty much to death, but I think they did a good enough job with it this time around.

Well, somebody's gonna have to go out there.

wasted 19 seconds skipping through it, absolutely crap.

I'm just watching it now on Video on Demand and gotta agree with everyone. At the beginning the parents know there are dangers out there, but didn't bother to barricade any doors or cover any of the windows.

Father hears a noise, and knows danger lurks outside, yet goes outside to investigate with no defenses at all and actually asks his wife to follow with the camera running (Why? Are they planning on making a movie?), leaving their daughter totally defenseless. They film their daughter in the doorway and tell her to go upstairs, yet leave the the door wide open.

Mom loses sight and sound of Dad. The daughter screams and Mom runs home to her, finding her under her bed. Common sense says to go dark, hide and be quiet. She tells the kid to be quiet, and the kid complies. The mother, though, won't shut up and keeps talking and talking, leaves the camera and camera lights running instead of going dark and hiding. Is it a surprise when the stenchie finds them?

Sadly, if the rest of the movie is this stupid it is a waste of $5.99. Thank God for Video on Demand so I didn't have to buy it.

P.S., I'm at the part in the farmhouse, is he actually raping a stenchie? Don't know if I can sit through the rest of this quality film.

reply

Not that I'm defending the actions of the father, but I DO believe he tells his wife to follow him withe camera so he has a spotlight.

None of their actions make sense though, even if they weren't totally sure what type of outbreaks was happening. Even if it was just looters, what good would it be to go or there completely unarmed and defenseless?

Anyway, I agree with you. Just wanted to point out that one detail!

reply

You are right but the door thing really makes them both look really stupd. Also as was said b4 the filming the daughter and not the zombie in the dooryway thing.
