An atmospheric ride through a Zombie ravaged world.

Just finished watching it a few moments ago (it's 2:58am at the moment) and I have to say it was a damn sight better than the first one. The first one was ok here and there. But this one had more going for it through the use of the countryside with and without snow. The scene at night in the graveyard where they crouched down and remained silent as a zombie in the distance staggered passed them was tense and almost eerie to a point. I think this was due to the snow falling and it being nighttime and we see grave stones in the distance. Nicely done that scene so it is. I bought this movie yesterday in Asda and decided to have a Zombie Diary session tonight. So I watched both movies back to back. Third time seeing the first one and first time seeing this one. One thing I have to complain about is the replacement for the LeeAnn character. It wasn't the same actress from the first movie. If it was I would have recognized her in the Army base when she was locked up at the start. I had no idea who the hell she was until they started telling us of her backstory. Besides that though the movie was fine. It plays out like a cross country journey through the land of the dead.

World of the Dead: The Zombie Diaries 2 - 8/10.

Just as bad as the first one. I would also have to give it a 1 out of 10 and encourage everyone to just skip it.

I'll give it that there was atmosphere and decent production design but there was no story to speak of and it made for dull viewing.
