Oh, Samuel L. Jackson

There used to be a phrase used to describe for once great actors who begin to take on a plethora of roles that they never would have considered in the past. Granted, they're not as young as they once were, but they're still great at what they do, they're still marketable, and it's not like they're strapped for cash.

That phrase was "Out for every dime in Hollywood." Well, the past few years, it seems as though this once great actor is just that.

Samuel L Jackson has ALWAYS taken crappy roles alongside great ones... seems he never passes on a script... but yeah.. its not a recent thing... he's sort of known for it.. hes still cool as hell though.

I can't fully agree with what you're saying there. When he was taking straight to video quality junk like Deep Blue Sea and Snakes on a Plane, he was giving campy by design b-movie scripts the old school, grindhouse appeal intended by the writers. But this is just a bad movie and a pay check.

I think that's because he's never offered high paying leading roles. He's still a working actor after all, and while he's waiting around for really good roles that probably aren't going to paying him 20 million dollars, he has to take a lot of crappy roles to pay the bills.

Though in his defense he takes to be very entertaining in the crappy roles he's given.
Revenge is the most important meal of the day.

With all the money he is making I doubt he will need money for bills unless billing companies charge more money to actors than ordinary folk

Samuel Jackson has had lean times and serious drug issues in the past.

So its a case of never mind the quality, collect the pay cheque and read the lines.

Its that man again!!
