I don't get who the target audience is for this movie?

It feels like it was made for 14 year old girls, but I don't think 14 year old girls would love the movie. It just feels like a movie with no sense of what it wants to be. I don't think it has a target audience. I don't think it has a specific genre. The story is pretty by the numbers and doesn't do anything interesting or original. You see what's coming a mile away, which is fine if the comedy and or action was up to par, but they aren't. The movie felt way too underbudget. It looked cheap, which isn't what you want in a movie like this. It almost felt like a TV movie at times.

It sad cause I am a fan of Fanboys, but the director really dropped the ball with this one. It's an idea that you could've done so much with, but in the end it's just an average movie.

It's obviously aimed at teens.

That would seem like a predictable side effect of being written and directed by two men in their late thirties.

Completely agree with the OP. It seems pretty confused as to what it wants to be; right from the title, which is a sort of promising pun but hints at much more of a comedy than this actually is. Part "Spy Kids", part teen rom com, part adult spoof. And while it's not all awful, it's really not that good either.

IMDb-boards would be less confusing if people would mark their signatures clearly.

I think the target audience is definitely teenage girls. The problem is teenage girls have better options than this movie.

It's trying to mix action and comedy - but follows the teen comedy structure too closely which in this case limits both the comedy and the action, so it's just not very entertaining.

it had bad language, the f word, "d i c k" and everything. hearing dove cameron say all those bad words was like woaaaah. it had sex, drugs, alcohol.

to be honest i was confused because it appears to be a movie aimed at 14 year olds but had R rating stuff in it.

I felt like it was aimed at teens, but had quite a bit a things only an adult would pick up on. Who know though, I'm sure the movies I watched as a teen were the same way, I just didn't realize it at the time.

It was really dumb, Jessica Alba had no reason what so ever to target Megan in the movie, and Sansa Stark was a dumb teenager with a petty grudge, Jessica Alba is meant to be taking her on missions and stuff, not enrolling her in high school.
The romance was clunky and stupid too.
