Always look forward to Christmas Movies BUT...

...this is one of the worse Christmas movies since Snow Globe back in 2007. First off Daphne Zuniga is WAY too old looking for her husband and her mom played by Julia Duffy is way too young to be her mom. I think Julia is trying to "sound older" and is making her voice a bit graveled..not working. The sons have been raised to be spoiled and thoughtless and her husband is just the same. I do think she is too obsessive about every single little thing...but it seems she's been their maid since the day her sons were born and that was her fault. When her husband and sons were in the kitchen trying to cook...it was a ridiculous joke. I will probably get griped out for writing this but I just expect more in a Christmas movie. I am hoping to see one this season that shows old fashioned values of a loving family instead of complete silliness.

huge fan of festive flicks. tho, what did she go on 'strike' for? didn't want to put out the lights? bake cookies? and mail 15-20 cards? how long do those activities take to complete. a day.? also. when the dad & the two kids made cookies. did the egg actually fall on the ground & they still used it?

Season's Greetings!

I just reviewed the movie and I also mentioned that she was over-the-top in the beginning. If she was my mom, I know for sure, my dad, bro, and I would have told her to calm it down. We love decorating for Christmas, but we don't obsess about it. I know it's not real, but my parents definitely made my brother and I help when we volunteered them for stuff at school. I agree, a lot of their behavior was her and her husband's doing.

I also added in my review (and correct me if I wrong), but not only was she the only female in her house, but didn't the other women only mention their husbands and male children? Very subtle, Lifetime.

Hallmark had better movies this year.

Hallmark (both channels) always have better movies!

I agree. This movie is exhausting to watch, because she's so exhausted. 45 minutes into it and I'm as fed up as she is. There's no reason to root for these guys.

On another note, there's only 11 years difference between Julia and Daphne. Julia's great though, nice to see her back on tv. The issue I think is with Daphne - we remember her from "Melrose Place" and still think she's 30-something, cuz she still looks it! She's more like the older, much more mature-acting sister to these 2 ungrateful sons. Ugh. I'd be telling them to get off to college already, I need a break from 'em.

Not your typical cozy, comfy-feeling holiday movie from Lifetime. I'm pondering changing the channel..... :/

I agree.....however it's never too late to put your foot down and glad she did. She lost me though when she allowed it to grow beyond an issue between her and her family and nearly ruined christmas for herself and her family with the newspaper article and allowing it to be turned into something it wasn't initially intended to be. She could have put an end to it sooner but didn't. She was selfish in wanting christmas perfect for her; disguising it by saying she wanted christmas perfect for her boys. She's just lucky she didn't cause more harm than she did for her family.
