Annoying plot.

A movie where Diane Keaton; a good, but occasionally irritating actress playing the role she was meant to play: A bitchy, selfish, and annoying wife who cares more than her damn pet than her husband. Sounds like one I can miss.

I love my pet too, but DEFINITELY not more than my spouse.

"You asked me to find the son of a bitch, sir. I never thought the son of a bitch would be you."

After seeing this, Diane Keaton need to retire. Take a cue from Gene Hackman for heaven's sake.

Actually, she DOESN"T "love the dog more than her husband." The dog fills the void left by her husband because he's the selfish one who seems to care more about his patients than his own family.

Yeah.

And, I love (not) movies where family members profit off the husband's/father's skills and very difficult, albeit well-paying job, yet complain he isn't available enough to them in other ways.

Don't like him because he seems self-absorbed about the type of intense job that requires that kind of dedication?

Then don't stay at nice resorts, expect daughters to get nice weddings & honeymoons, get free medical care when needed, and be a wife who is able to be a stay-at-home Mom and doesn't have to work....

The people in this movie are complicated and flawed. I was happy to see some recognizable human beings, and the Kevin Kline character WAS a jerk at times. So was the Diane Keaton character.

I enjoyed this movie. I don't understand the hate.
