A bit ridiculous

Good series overall but it stretches believability with the Travis character.

Are we honestly expected to believe that someone as highly intelligent and perceptive as Travis cannot see what is in front of him ? He spends hours defending his clients, looking over evidence and yet it never occurs to him that the evidence he is examining might suggest that his client is in fact guilty ?

I'm sorry but that's complete bollocks.

His "Punisher" style of execution for being misled is also preposterous as well assuming of course that he's always been a psychopath of some sort.

Not sure on the finer points of UK law...

but in the States Lawyers are required to provide the Best Defense possible, even if their client called them on the phone from a Victim's house to arrange a meeting and then arrive covered in Blood holding the Murder weapon....

-- unless court appointed; Morals could/should prevent them from taking the case in the first place,

-- But if Guilt only becomes Obvious after research hoping to prove the opposite, the Lawyer is NOT allowed drop the case w/o the Judge's approval... so he could discover Guilt, and still be forced to Prove innocence... and if he obviously tries to 'Half-@$$' it he's setting himself up to be disbarred

-- as to pre-existing psychopathy; this is entirely Possible. Countless Lawyers, politicians and other 'white Collars' actually set off Many of the same warning bells as Serial Killers and Career Criminals... the only Difference between Bernie Madoff 2007 and Bernie Madoff 2009 is That He got Caught... yet one was a Trusted Stock Broker and the Other a thieving Crook
