If in that last scene, we saw that he no longer required his clients to be innocent before defending them. At least he will have learned something from his past experiences of putting so much into these defendants only to find out they were guilty.

shareAgree - he is now on a mission to destroy all of the guilty who get off free in court and get them what he thinks they deserve. He gets them off and then gives them the 'REAL' justice!
