Utterly stupid film

having been brought up on Indian films since I was a kid, I stopped watching after a while. Only a few years ago did I come back.

What is wrong with Indian cinema? Why can't they make films like Muqaddar Ka Sikander, Naya Daur anymore?

Why do they insist on copying and blatantly ripping of others. For example almost exactly blow for blow Debangg rips the fight scene in Sherlock Holmes. Why?

This movie's soundtrack was imitating Inceptions, again why? You used to have absolutely great music, you have a unique and wonderful culture where music is part of it, so why steal other peoples ideas? I know this has been going on for decades, but I would have thought it would have stopped by now, either out of pure shame or Hollywood suing the *beep* out of Bollywood (Partner = Hitch has reportedly been one case. Hollywood stopped a purposed Benjamin Button remake before it got of the ground.)

So this is, at the moment the 2nd/3rd highest grossing film (or something like that) in India, and it has an atrociously stupid script, non-sensical fight scenes that defy gravity or intelligence ( I know Matrix does but that suspends beleif because it is a sci-fi, this is set in the real world ).

Salman Khan is blatantly aping a percieved hard man image he has created over the years and he doesn't seem to want to bother making a good movie, especially if box office is in the way. He can act; Khamoshi: The musical and Tere Naam among others prove this. So please act! Don't insult our intelligence. Yes I don't have to watch it, but I want to, I want the films to be better, is this too much to ask?

Dilip Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and other great Indin actors were able to make great films, popular and dramatic. Not forgetting the immensely talented Amitabh Bachchan.

So, if this movie is anything to go by, Indian cinema is gonna get a whole lot worse. Which is a shame, for everyone, the audience, actors and crew who know they can do better and the perception of Indian cinema worldwide.
