horrible movie

This movie was just plain horrible....it was corny and had zero chemistry between the lead pair [salman & kareena]...The action ,even though supposed to be over the top with a mix of comedy,is just hard to watch as it is just awful...
i was very disappointed that this movie not only ripped soundtracks from Inception, but also copied scene for scene from other Bollywood movies...

Salman as the Bodyguard was tolerable and did his usual...By usual i mean, flexing his muscles ,throwing people and staring ...and of course his trademark ripping the shirt off + awkward dance steps...
Kareena was also just average,so was the rest of the cast...

When i sat to watch this movie i had low expectations....but the movie turned out to be quite good[if u ignore some minor plotholes]...
but what happened in the last half an hour was unforgivable...anything good that did remain so far in the movie ended, and the movie headed towards complete mess...
i was able to findout that bodyguard ripped of--ghajini,kuch kuch hota hai,DDLJ,
the only good song in the movie was teri meri...and now i found out that it was ripped off too [Cleopatra Stratan - La Betleem colo-n jos]...and the inception soundtrack too is done in poor taste...

the story is simple
A bodyguard[salman] is assigned to a rich daughter[kareena], kareena plays a prank on salman by calling him and pretending to be someone else...as the movie continues both fall in love....kareena to salman and salman to the unknown girl who calls him...

the climax is what really bothered me...not only because it was stupid, but also it was morally incorrect......
[Spoilers]
kareena's friend betrays kareena and tells salman she[the friend] is chaaya and they two run away and live happily for 5-6 years...the friend was kareena's best friend till the end but a complete role reversal was just stupid...but the friend dies, and before she dies, she writes her story and leaves it for her son to be read after she is dead...So a 5 year old gets to read how his mom was a total b***h and that his dad had actually fell in love with someone else...this happens just after his mom has died..
salman and kid visits kareena...kid says in front of everyone,to kareena :can i call u mummy?....yes the kid has completely erased his real mom from his heart and mind and moved on..wah..wah..what writing...
and since the story has to end happily, kareena goes with salman and kid to canada...but salman finds the note written by the friend and finds out it was kareena who was the caller...again,within a few minutes, salman too forgets his dead wife and moves on to kareena.. the end...

the director is a very famous malayalam director, and i grew up seeing his work..but this has close to no resemblance to his earlier works..
salman can enjoy the ride as boxoffice king, but by doing so by making such movies [like dabangg, ready, bodyguard] is injustice.....

I couldn't have said it better.

I mean, come on people !! That was a horrendous movie: Salman seriously needs to change the roles he accepts !

The script was for made for idiots ! Bollywood movies have such a capacity to do wonders when they want, but they stick to the lowest level.

If this movie wasn't starring two huge actors, it would have been a huge flop.

No chemistry
Dumbest ending ever
Idiotic dialogues

The only high light of this movie was the song Teri Meri (not even the clip in the movie, just the song). It seems that it was an opportunity for Salman to show his muscles (AGAIN !), for Kareena to act with yet another Khan and for the producers to earn some more money. Is this a way to make movies ???

It's really unfair for real cinema to go unoticed or flop because it's not starring the bankable actors.

Bollywood can brag all they want about being an even larger industry that Hollywood. But try to look for quality and not quantity like they do. It's not a bad example.

Ughh such a waste of my time ....

while I DO agree with the dance steps and the stupid introduction and idiotic kung fu hustle type fights,

the end is where you got confused, the mother died when the kid was like 6 months old!

the kid never knew his mom, its been 6-8 years since lovely singhs wife died, he raised the kid on his own. he has had 5 yrs to move on from his wife! as for the kid, he wants a mom, he never had one!

so the kids actions makes sense...

this part is same in all the 3 bodyguard movies I think...

An Idea is the most resilient parasite - Inception

I completely agree with you
i wasn't expecting anything but still i was disappointed
what that friend did to her kid is much worse by writing him the story and asking him not to tell his own dad about it, much worse than what she did to her friend
also how come the way from where they were staying to her father's takes 8-9 hours as he told Chayah but her dad came to where they were staying in less than an hour?!
and that long story that kid was reading only took his dad a couple of minutes to read and understand?
i really tried to like this movie but couldn't and i didn't really like Salman Khan as this is the first movie i watch for him.

It is never about what happened, it is only how you look at it!
