Elevator movies

It seems Hollywood really likes elevator movies. First came (my favorite)BETWEEN STORIES then came Devil and now Elevator. I haven't seen Elevator yet but Between Stories is a true roller-coaster ride with some fantastic performances and it's pretty believable with only 4 people trapped in the elevator because of an earthquake.

Didn't you write the screenplay, Rosenberg..?

Yeah choosing your real name as an imdb username then praising the movie you wrote on its own board says a lot about his intelligence level...

There is also Blackout with Amber Tamblyn in it.

Don't forget The Shaft starring Naomi Watts. About a killer elevator, classic cheese...

Just saw the trailer 'Between Stories' and I'm sorry to say but it looks horrible (especially the acting).

I liked 'De lift' (the elevator), a dutch movie from the 80's, I think it was the first about an elevator (a 'killer elevator').

Abwarts (1984)

A German film directed by Carl Schenkel. It was released on video in the US as Out Of Order. One of my favorite films. Seriously, it's great.

The first film about someone trapped in an elevator goes a long way back, actually. In a film released in 1964, called Lady in a Cage, Olivia de Havilland spent almost the entire film inside an elevator. Also, a major part of Malle's Lift to the Scaffold (1958) is shot inside an elevator.

Don't forget Hellevator - The Bottled Fools

No masterpiece, but I liked it.

Devil? Really? That is an awful movie. Great idea, but AWFUL development. I could not expect so much when I noticed it was produced by Shyamalan, all movies which he is attached become a completely mess.

Just saw Devil and completely disagree. Really liked it, and thought it was FAR better than Elevator in acting, script and direction.

mirwais is either a hater or one of those who dislike shyamalan.
devil was a decent movie

Any given topic is going to have multiple movies about it. The idea of finding an original idea is like finding a unicorn.
