I don't really let the ratings dictate whether or not I'll watch a movie, as I've enjoyed 4's and 5's and disliked 6's and 7's, but I found it funny how Bohemian Rhapsody was steady at an 8.4 from theater run until the Golden Globe nominations, when it dropped to an 8.3, which it stayed at until the Oscar noms, where it just dropped to an 8.2 and now an 8.1 in a matter of a few weeks.

Same here when it comes to ratings.
Personally, I'd rate Bohemian Rhapsody a 6. I didn't think much of it and wonder how it's so highly regarded.
I personally don't pay attention to those ratings.
If I have interest in a movie I'll see it. If I don't, I won't.
Bohemian Rhapsody is at least a 10 for me!!!! ❤️
Movies do tend to start at higher rating than they settle down to (this is very noticeable in those "couple weeks in top 250 then out of it" cases). Especially for those with established fanbases (fans will see it first, rate it higher, other people see it later and rate it lower). This seems part for the course.
