Mixed feelings, but ultimately disappointing...

At first, I thought I would hate it because the opening scene was of that guy with the long hair from Workaholics for whom I have an unexplainable hatred. But he died and the movie got good, but then it failed because it didn't obey its own internal logic. Arbitrarily, some zombies lumbered, others ran (it seemed to be as the situation needed). Some were mindless things, others seemed more human. Britney Spears' music affected the bum with a random t shirt on, but Dolly Parton's music had no affect on the leader who was obsessed with her. Too bad, the movie had promise.

Really? You are going to complain about logic in comedy zombie horror movie?

reply

No, I didn't say it failed because of its "logic", it's a comedy. I said it failed because it didn't follow "its own internal logic. I can understand the confusion if you're not familiar with the term" internal logic".

reply

No, I understand you. Movie it's not consistent in it's world's logic. That's not suprising. Far more serious movies which are consider good, break it's own logic all the time. But this is a comedy horror. Primary goal is to make you laugh even if it means to bend establish world.
But the trick is, maybe it did follow it's internal logic.
Every zombie is different that's movies internal logic. Maybe zombies are different because of the way human was infected maybe how long has been infected maybe, how old is the person infected, what kind of physic human has etc. There a lot of variables that could effect zombie characteristics. Movie didn't explain logic behind zombies, that's why you can't point this as it's flaw. When movie changes something that has been clearly explained and proven this is where you can say movie failed to follow it's own internal logic.

reply

Look, I pointed out a flaw in the movie. Clearly you like the movie a lot to go to the trouble of defending it. If you want to twist yourself into a pretzel making excuses for bad continuity, that's your prerogative.
