Are people stupid? This movie was awesome!

I guess people haven't seen stuff like The Goonies or Monster Squad. I had a blast watching this. I had little expectations besides hoping for some zombies and a couple laughs. It delivered in spades.

Anyway, I see a lot of people posting stuff like "this isn't realistic!". No, really? Are they stupid?

Don't even mention this in the same breath as The Goonies. The Goonies is a perfect movie when compared to this one.

I didn't hate it, but let's be real, a lot of what happened makes no sense at all. There's unrealistic, and then there's disbelief shattering things like a janitor having access to a secret zombie lab with extremely lax safety protocols. Or the potato canon thing the one kid makes which clearly only holds like 4 balls that can somehow fire an unlimited number of times, until the script demands that he run out for dramatic purposes.

Again, I didn't hate it. But I needed to make it clear that your suggestion that this movie is great, or in the same ballpark as The Goonies is simply not accurate at all.

For me its not on the same level as Goonies but I think its almost on the level of Shaun of the Dead.

No way. It's nowhere near as clever as Shaun of the Dead.

In my opinion this movie was near perfect and I was not expecting much from this at all and I just had a blast from beginning to end.

If you think this movie is near perfect, you do not see film with much of a critical eye. It might be an entertaining movie, but it's nowhere NEAR perfect. I mean, their home made weapons? How does that bocce ball launcher fire so many times when it's clear that thing only holds 5 balls at the absolute most?

How does a janitor have access to a top secret zombie lab? How is the first zombie not even strapped to the table they have the body on?

Like I said, it might be fun, but it's nothing approaching a perfect film.

Now, I didn't hate the movie, let's be clear. But I cannot abide people claiming it to be a good film, let alone perfect. It's mediocre at best.
