So I'm watching the first episode...Kinda disapointing

So, I'm watching it right now, it looks like Erica (Kate Todd) character is like Spike (before he got the chip in his head, and before he got his soul back for BTVS fans) but she's not the main evil, they're going to spread that idea around with other characters like the promos showed, I think she's the presence of evil for now in the series. It looks like Rory isn't really evil, see how it plays out.

The show has the disney feel to it. Disapointed, I thought since it's canadian based, thought it might be like a Degrassi type, darn, should've had Nick do the series instead.

Fyi, for you BTVS fans, it doesn't even play off like that, it feels like more like Life with Derek episode with monsters, very disappointed. I feel Twitches and Halloween Town seemed more intense. again it's early, but not impressed so far.

I'm trying to like this show, since I'll need a supernatural comedy once WOWP is over. And I refuse to consider 'but it's copying Buffy/Charmed/whatever' as a point against it, because honestly, it's not fair to expect total originality from a show that clearly isn't trying very hard to be original.

That said, I do think the writing in these first two episodes has been awful. The dialogue just isn't especially funny or clever. But I also think that this show has tons of potential, and could be really good once they get past introducing the characters in typical, cliche situations. I'd say by the end of season one, beginning of season two, the show will really hit its stride (if it ever does) and start bringing out the better, more creative story lines.

Wizards will outlast this show anyway.

I'm actually really liking this show. After seeing 2 episodes I'm hooked. It's right behind Wizards of Waverly Place as my favorite on the station. Hope this lasts a long time, especially with WOWP ending.

Well that could be partially due to the fact that it's a first season and most first season orders, unless your Glee or some mega worldwide smash hit, contain 13 episodes. It's in the second season when they start throwing out 22-26 episode seasons. They're trying to establish a fanbase.

That said I really like the show. It doesn't remind me of Buffy moreso then it reminds me of a 90s monster slayer show for kids called Big Wolf on Campus. And I can dig it. Yes it started off kind of slow but it IS just starting. Around the third episode "Blood Drive" is when I started to get behind it more.
