For that one last shot...

When mom comes to the back of the wagon to stay right next to her son, my rating went up from 6 to 7/10/ Anyone else?

Incredible shot. Gave this film an 8

I love this film. I gave it a 9. Having dealt with a step-dad who tried to make up for his utter failure at life by belittling others, Duncan felt like an old friend to me. That end scene is very powerful, and embodies what most kids who grew up with a step-monster like that jerk wish their mom would have done!

I know this is an old post, however, sorry that you had to experience that with your step-dad.

True that mzlove, true that. Cut pretty close to the bone a few times. I almost winced with the flashbacks.

Enosh Sunny I know exactly what you mean. It's a major statement Pam is making - and maybe realizing for the first time - that her key alignment is with her son over her boyfriend.
