No love for background actors

I worked on this "film" as a Non-Union background actress. The casting notice said that background would get featured, paid, and get an IMDB credit and food. Nobody paid us. There were a few background in the bar scene. I even sat next to the principal. I came to set and the extras weren't allowed to eat breakfast. We got chips. Little bags of chips. Most of which I couldn't eat cuz I was vegan. Still am. Then, we didn't get the credit. And they asked a couple of the girls in my group if they would go topless in the party scene. They offered to pay them $200. They said no. Then, they wanted me for a scene at a barbecue. I did it but they placed me nowhere near the camera. So after that scene, a lot of us left. When you don't get paid, you leave whenever you want. It was a ridiculous situation. One of my worst experiences. I'm glad I can finally watch the freaking movie to see what they did with the scenes I was featured in. Anyway, that was my experience. Just to let you know what that set was like. So glad I'm not non-union anymore. They really treat you like crap.
