Face the Music
Never thought I'd hear reworking in film of some of the great songs from the great ELO album Face the Music such as Strange Magic and One Summer Dream. Loved it.
shareI really enjoyed that version of "Strange Magic," and most of the other songs, some of which I did not know, even though my age puts me right in the midst of all that, as a teenager back then. I really loved how everyone looked in the performance--much prefer glam rock style to this damnably, endlessly persistent style of baggy, falling-down, prison pants. Adam Ant, David Bowie, young Sting (hell--old Sting's good too, thanks to all that yoga)--that's the way.
Multiplex: 100+ shows a day, NONE worth watching. John Sayles' latest: NO distribution. SAD.
