was he alive?

Nice movie, but really? did he run with a bullet on his liver/lungs? could he drive 600km with a stolen car and park it in the middle of the city without ANY trouble? and finally, is it possible that after that massive fall he could manage to survive? not mentioning that the river was really cold, because it´s water comes from the alps ice...

Well this is a kind of a film where the story doesn't make sense, it just focuses on adrenalin packed action. Bad version of The fugitive.

Everyone is running away from the serial killer, while he keeps walking normally and gaining up on them. Franck Adrien gets wounded and is running throughout the whole film bleeding. Then he gets shot again, first with a shotgun in the stomach from close range, and then with a scope rifle. He fails in the icy river from a cliff and ends up alive in Morocco. And what about the prison escape scene...

Doubt you are still monitoring this year-old chat, but he was shot with a shotgun in the shoulder, not the stomach. Not that it makes much difference because he was using both arms to hang onto the tree, including (obviously), the one attached to the shoulder which had just been shot.

It wasn't clear where he was hit by the rifle bullet, but he was clearly shot and fell a great distance. Chances of survival I would have to say were pretty well none.

Nevertheless, great flick. Very tense, very exciting, surprise ending. One of the best action movies I have seen in a while.

And I guess we'll never really know the odds unless we also get shot and fall into an icy river after dangling from a tree!

Obviously, the man with the rifle didn't wound him fatally. Or maybe he hit the branch, causing Adrien to fall off.

As for the chases on foot, yes, they were a bit overdrawn but let's not forget he was very fit, even took out three inmates while in jail. I would run to the end of the world if it meant reuniting with my daughter and getting back at the guy who took her away and killed her mother...

And after all, it's only a movie. Which just happens to be one of the best I've seen in recent years.

Surprise ending??! Which bit of it was a surprise? The cheesy little "papa", the fact he survived the impossible through some unexplained deus-ex machina?

I really wanted to like this movie but I felt it was like Adrien - running so fast and all the time slowly bleeding out, inevitably going to fall 'prey' sooner or later.

It kept me gripped, but I felt really disappointed by the end.

"oh mummy, oh daddy - lets all play Kabadi!"

I agree, it would have been better and hit home harder if he died

Yep, I enjoyed the movie, but was disappointed in the ending. This was a film where they showed a 16-year-old being terrorized and (presumably) raped and murdered, but then it seemed like it was thought that we wouldn't be able to handle it if the main character died.
