The Looney Tunes Show Rant

The Looney Tunes Show, is the single, worst, show to ever air on television since Uncle Grandpa. Now, I'm serious when I say this: I F&*king HATE The Looney Tunes Show with a blazing passion. As a Looney Tune fan, I come to form many great elaborate opinions on certain things. I form a lot of complex opinions on certain shows or movies, and the Looney Tunes Show is among the worst, the most trashy, poorly written, and the most untalented show to ever face on the Planet. I hate this show. Not just as a show but as a real being.

Now let me go into why I hate The Looney Tunes Show so much. First thing and foremost, I don't think I need to tell you that the art style and the genre is crap. I don't. For a Looney Tunes cartoon, every fan knows this. It's been said so many times that I can't contribute anything new to say how bad the art style and the genre is. The art style has gotten many negative reactions from fans and critics because of their color swap, bigger body parts (hands feet etc.) and how much in either way shape or form, looks anything like their designs or anything wonderfully different from the shorts enough. They used them anyways.

Another major complaint and hate I have about this show is the fan base. I've seen some crappy fan bases (i.e. the Sonic Fanbase etc.), but by far this fan base in general is the most immature, uncharismatic and unsympathetic fan base I have ever encountered. Now, the reason why I think this fan base is pretty crappy, is simply because it's that they cannot take criticism. The thing is: They are actually aware how much The Looney Tunes Show is not like the originals at all, but for some weird reason, they don't like it when anybody points out that The Looney Tunes Show is bad. Whenever somebody, no matter if it's filled with good points or not, states or tries to proove the Looney Tunes show is a bad show, they either complain about it, nitpick and take things apart, or he trolls the crap out of them by calling them "Nostalgia tards" for saying how bad the show is. Not only the fan base is crappy but it's filled with bullies. That's the little adding on top of the crap Sunday that is The Looney Tunes Show. That is what I really HATE about this show.

Now the reason they have made this atrocious style change to The Looney Tunes, is simply because it is the freaking "21st century". Now, a lot of you are probably thinking "Well, what the heck does that have to do with everything?" It does a lot actually, because as said on The Totally Odd Couple, The Looney Tunes Show was created to match the rest of the cutting-edge shows airing on Cartoon Network today, Cervone and Brandt point out that a lot of care was given to add some new pizzazz to the familiar. The producers tell us that at one stage in the show’s development, there was an attempt to make the characters younger. “That completely rubbed us the wrong way,” says Brandt. “In the classic Looney Tunes, they felt like adults, so when Bugs was made younger, it just didn’t feel right to us. We wanted the old Bugs back. It’s important to know that the old characters were adult characters with adult relationships and adult concerns. They felt like regular people and that’s why they were so popular. They really represent the human condition better than any other characters.” It's complete proof right there that the producers does not give two sh*ts about these characters. yeah they "wanted" the old Bugs back, but due to political correctness and how everything now-a-days has to be a sitcom-clean show, The Looney Tunes Show has no other choice but to reduce these great characters into a fake looking Seinfeld clone. However, the show was only given 52 (I think) episodes, and thank God for that. The only way the show would've kept on going if it was just as excellent as Adventure Time. Ratings were not good enough. What disgusts me the most is that, they can change the Looney Tunes dangerously different as they want them to, but they keep teasing us the fact that they keep on making Looney Tunes that aren't being the Looney Tunes.

A lot of people say that the Looney Tunes from the show still maintain their looks and personalities from the original cartoon, and every time I hear that saying, I IMMEDIATELY become PISSED OFF. Here's the reason why: Before I explain why I hate this saying so much, let me explain something to you: When you become as big as a Looney Tunes buff as me, you come to learn that there are many types of personalities used in the original cartoon and movies. Now, from what I've learned from studying the personalities on the show and the original cartoon, Bugs Bunny on the original cartoon, he is a cunning, charismatic, and smart rabbit. These personality traits are what gives him an advantage over his enemies, rivals and opponents. He is also known for his famous catch phrase; "Eh, what's up, doc?", which he typically uses as a greeting to anyone he encounters (usually while munching a carrot). Bugs is characterized as being clever and capable of outsmarting anyone who antagonizes him. On The Looney Tunes Show, Bugs is smart, usually friendly, and easily annoyed, especially by Daffy or Lola, and even on a few rare occasions Porky. Bugs' intelligence is seen in Peel of Fortune; he has the ability to make a time machine without trying and has invented the carrot peeler. There is nothing to compare to the original cartoons if these personalities do not match. I highly recommend to look both of the characters on the wikis "Looney Tunes Wiki" and "The Looney Tunes Show Wiki" and tell me that I'm not lying. You need to look at the other characters too, like Daffy Duck, Gossamer, Witch Hazel, Granny and more. They have different types of unlikable personalities that don't match by the closest to the original personas.

Now, this is the part I just want to get it out of my system once and for all..... Lola Bunny . How in the living heck is she "funny"? Lola Bunny on the show, was nothing but an annoying character who would like to talk non-stop and completely obsess over Bugs Bunny, and unfortunately she was made to become a stereotypical dumb blonde to get to the part where she's funny. Yeah, she's funny, because she's so freaking stupid! At least in Space Jam, Lola Bunny had a lot of potential of becoming a better character. The real reason people say that she's bland and that she has no character at all is because Lola bunny had zero amount of time left for her character to develop and show off more, because realistically, she was meant to be a combination of the Hawksian woman, tomboy and femme fatale archetypes. She is a tough talking, no-nonsense woman who is extremely independent and self-reliant. She is highly athletic while also incredibly seductive in her behavior. If you guys find that character to be lame, then I'm sorry to say this, but it's hypocritical to hate on her because of how she is about all of the looks, when in the Looney Tunes Show, surprisingly, Lola Bunny ALSO was about the looks as well. She's never stopped being eye-candy. If you think I'm lying, watch the episode "Double date" and see how she tries to work her magic on Daffy Duck. In the show, Lola bunny is still all about looking pretty at her own right. The only difference is that she doesn't have the supermodel shape that she had in Space Jam. I'm also sick of the fact that people are unable to remove the Nostalgia Critic glasses (Fans of the Nostalgia Critic who obsess over his opinions like it's all true) bash on Lola Bunny from Space Jam all because she is all about sex appeal, which is not true. I just wish they could really see that Lola's innocence has been trying to grow on PSace Jam, but not enough. However, she managed to appear more in the DC Comics and her character fleshed out more. I highly recommend you go read the DC Comics version of Lola, because she boasts a great personality to work well with the other Looney Tunes.

Now finally into conclusion, there are really bad Looney Tune incarnations such as Space Jam, Loonatic Uneashed and Baby Looney Tunes, but they are still entertaining to watch. Looney Tunes Show on the other hand is something you cannot watch, you can't, it's too horrendous to watch. It looks terrible, there is no interesting characters, they're horribly written. There's nothing worthwile in any of the episodes. Good day.

“We know that people love these characters, and we know that people are going to get riled up when you do something new with these characters,” says Cervone
