The Strip Club

This film solidifies Friedkin's place in cinema. Just like I havent seen a more realistic exorcism on film since the Exorcist- I have never seen a more realistic depiction of a strip club. If youve been to one- you would know what i mean.

There's one shot in particular- where we get a view of a bunch of old wealthy white men -wearing cowboy hats- staring at the strippers. The blue light from the stage shines on them- and you can just see the sin shining from their all american- blue eyes. I believe Friedkin was conscious of this shot- as he knows how many people are like this. Its an ugly side of humanity. Old men drooling over young mislead women. The film looked great- and did a good job of what it was trying to do- expose the ugliest sides of humanity. Bravo.

8/10. (probably an 8.7 if I had to be exact). the ending could have been better. the music wasnt special either.

what the hell are you talking about? Strip clubs vary as does the clientele at such establishments. All ages are present, many of the patrons are women, lots of young athletes, etc. The "dirty old man" is just one of the many characters you will find at a strip club.

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

Well then it seems you know exactly what I'm talking about. "The old dirty man" clientele.

I never said they were the only ones at stripclubs. You'll find me there sometimes. I'm also in my early 20s tho. For some reason old horny men creep me out idk

K let us know in 40 years if u don't find a hot young stripper isn't worth at... since when does aging mean u have to change who u think is attractive.. I'm sorry but I doubt anyone will say a 60 year old woman is sexy compared to a 20 year girl... every guy out there wishes to be Hugh Hefner
