Ditto 2 that. I think the ending is where the next movie is going to take off. There could have been more character back grounds.and blah blah but I don't like to over analize movies. I enjoyed it and it sparked my imagination...what if we woke up and that s%&t really happend..LOL.

i really liked this movie and i'm really excited for a second one because three BIG reasons; 1) they can have so much more info on the aliens, their origins and just how they are physically and biologically. 2) the aliens and their ships are actually quite horrifying; an organism that's a machine. 3) the story was and is great; the aliens win and seem indestructible. I just can't wait to see what happens next because the first was riveting!! but for those who either liked it or not, Battle: Los Angeles was freaking EPIC AS HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!! so see that too!

You can NOT be serious!!! They're making ANOTHER one of these pieces of garbage? The first one did not have a single redeeming quality at all. It was poorly written, poorly thought out, poorly acted, had vast plot holes and inconsistencies, special effects that would be laughable even in video games, and was obviously slapped together even though the script was still being revised at the time of shooting. You know that something is wrong when five minutes into the movie the audience is actually rooting for each and every character to die horribly. I can't believe I actually paid money to watch this crap, albeit only a dollar from redbox. I CERTAINLY will not make the same mistake with an unneeded and unwanted sequel!!!

I'll agree the movie was nothing special. It was fairly predictable and the characters were not well developed (but when are they ever in a scifi movie like this?). But the graphics were pretty great and certainly better than any video game you've ever played. With the way the first one ended, the second movie would have potential to go a COMPLETELY different direction which I honestly think would make a much more interesting film. I really wouldn't care to watch the first one again, but if you told me that a second one was coming out that picked up right where the first one left out, I'd definitely give it a chance.

Quick history on my relay with skyline.

saw trailer/fell in love. waited forever for it to come out/no one else even knew what movie I was talking about.

Saw it/thought it was ok/ending was SICK

bought it/slowly became one of my all time favs'

anyway. something that's been on my mind a lot. is the sequel going to basically be all cgi stuff on board that ship? if so WOWWWWW

the ending of Skyline is all CGI. If the next one takes off from there, we may be in store for some drool worthy epic CGI film the first of it's kind type of thing?

ok to the deluded sci fi nuts who claims this will be one of their all time favs ????? here i go ....

as already pointed out the script was weak at best !
yes i was drawn in by the trailers (and the fact turk was in it!) but was not overly impressed!
the acting was questionable (especially that hotel manager guy) !
and the ending ???? *facepalm*

this fime was everything battle: Los Angeles tried NOT to be !!!

I'm interested in seeing a sequel. The first film was good, but not great. I'm wondering if it continues from where they left off, will they actually being going into outer space. Can't wait.

The only thing good about the first film was the CGI and Special Effects. Most of the acting was pretty bad. I would thing the sequel would go straight to DVD/Blu-Ray since the DVD/Blu-Ray of the first film sold very well. I couldn't even find one on it's release day.
