A great story - too bad more isn't known about Whicher...

Whicher was a very interesting character, and I wish there was more known about his life. From what I've read from the book and other sources Whicher basically disappears from the historical records after the Kent case. This is very unfortunate since it seems like he was a very quirky and interesting man, and the case was followed by Charles Dickens and inspired characters in his books. It was also inspirational to author Arthur Conan Doyle and helped spur the detective fiction genre. It's ironic that more is known about Constance Kent's later life in Australia than there is about Whicher who lived in England his whole life. I really hope that more is found about him as time goes on, but I doubt there will be.
