Beach sex scene

All comments about Lena Dunham's body aside, I enjoyed the accurate depiction of sex on the beach! Sand everywhere, water in your face, spot on! Over the years I know she's depicted awkward sex, but I found this one the most amusing.

It seemed to be a parody of From Here To Eternity?

It was certainly a parody of something.

When Riz Ahmed shoved most of his hand into Hannah's mouth I was gasping for air. The beach scenes and the sex scenes between them.....were absolutely hilarious...and not sexy or hot in the least! 

Last night's episode was very enjoyable. The writing was great, as was the acting of the guest stars Chelsea Peretti, Riz Ahmed and Ashley Williams.

The writing has been excellent (IMO) lately (since last season).

I agree, last season was quite good.

Over the years, the guest stars have been excellent, particularly Hannah's parents and I always enjoy Colin Quinn, Jon Glaser and Gaby Hoffmann.

Despite being in a few US films over the years, Riz Ahmed is fairly new to US audiences, great to see he's becoming more popular. He's an amazing actor, he embraces paying different types of characters. He's wonderful with different UK dialects and US accents. He was terrific in last night's episode.

Have you noticed Marnie's ex-boyfriend, Charlie, played by Christopher Abbott, looks a lot like Kit Harington? I used to confuse the two actors. It would have been hysterical to see them in an episode together, unfortunately, since this is the last season, it's doubtful this will happen.

reply

He looks so much like Kit! I've noticed it too.

The first time I saw the Charlie character, I thought it was Kit.

I don't remember the GOT/GIRLS time frames. I don't watch GOT, I gather GOT was already on when GIRLS first aired.

The resemblance was so remarkable, before finding out Charlie was played by Christopher Abbott, I assumed Kit was on both series. 

Over the years, I've enjoyed the Jon Snow sketches Kit has done on Seth Meyers show, they were so hysterically funny.
