George Harrison song

Poor George Harrison's memory is dishonored by playing his song while Lena is rolling around half-naked. But I guess it's OK for Jews to ridicule other people's religion and use it for "comedy" if you can call it that.

It was the perfect song to play in that beatufil montage on the beach.

I'm glad we won't have to put up with you haters in 6 days. What you're gonna do then, loser?

reply

It obviously wasn't meant to be beautiful, do you lack the ability to put two and two together, loser?

Why what's happening in 6 days? Is she moving to Canada?

reply

It was beautiful in its imperfection.

"My Sweet Lord" was likely chosen because Hannah commented to Paul-Louis about his positive and free lifestyle....she also asked if he was Buddhist, which I don't think George H was. Perhaps Lena had her religions mixed up! 

I assume Lena picks most of the music, it's her series after all.

Did you catch the amazing biography about George Harrison? IIRC, it was on HBO a few years ago. I think it was a two part show.

Perhaps millennials are not all that familiar with Harrison's personal life, despite his quest for spirituality, he was a compulsive cheater, he cheated on both of his wives...he was basically a sex addict. An American pornstar he cheated with even stated George was too exhausting, even for her! 

In the HBO bio, his second wife Olivia commented on the cheating.

Sometimes it's best to simply enjoy a musician's music and not put too much thought into what's behind a musician composing their songs.

I wanna go to Montauk so bad. Looks like my kind of heaven.

What does this have to do with Jews? Lena doesn't speak for all Jews and Jews as a group don't have anything negative to say about the Buddhist or Hindu religion.

Also, I don't think she was mocking any religion, she was equating being with him to a spiritual experience, bc she (mistakenly?) thought he was Buddhist and enlightened and he enlightened her about life. I mean, it was a weird song choice, but I don't think it was meant to be disrespectful.
