This is my first Halo game ever cause I wanted to start at the beginning if the series. Can someone sum up the story of Halo: Reach? I just started the campaign. I'm playing on Legendary for a challenge. So frickin hard! Still on the first level.
shareReach is invaded by the Convenant, it falls at the end but not before the Pillar of Autumn escape executing the Cole Protocol. This is where Halo: Combat Evolved starts.
Sorry if I spoiled it for you, but anybody who knows anything about Halo knows that Reach fell. In a sense playing this game last is more rewarding because it's possibly the best game in the series (IMO) and the others are lacking in regard to graphics, AI, etc.
