As an ex-addict myself....

The drug use was really hard to watch as it's a trigger for cravings to me, but at the same time it was depressing to watch his eyes bug out after a hit of crack or his head hitting the coffee table after doing heroin.
I was so happy that he found something in his life that was more compelling to him than drugs and that made him want to clean up that bad. And non drug users wouldn't understand what a monumental feat kicking crack, heroin, bentos and methadone IN A MONTH IS. That would take most addicts over a year to do that. Simply AMAZING. This guy came across as so weak and sickly at the beginning, but to do that fast of a detox, he had the strength of the hulk in him! And I saw another poster say that he is STILL doing well and doing shows. Fing AMAZING! Good for him - GO LIEBLING!
