Pleasantly Surprised

I just watched this movie and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how good of a movie it was. I enjoyed the characters and the chase for Riva. The fact that pretty much all the characters were flawed in some way was interesting. Because they were not the nobelest of characters the ending I believe was appropriate.

Below are a few more thoughts regarding the movie:
*The violence was realistic and not too over the top
*The cinematography was great and gave you a great feel for the country
*The sex scenes were somewhat tamed. However, the scene between Riva and Nora where he performed oral sex on her through the window bars was pretty erotic
*Nora breast implants seemed out of place. In such a troubled country, I would think the demand for breast implants would be low and the skilled doctors to perform the surgery would be even lower.
*Riva seemed to have a death wish by all the chances he took trying to get to Nora. She was pretty, but not worth dying for. Her red hair really seduced him. LOL
*Regarding Riva's friend, I couldn't understand if the children were his or not. If they were, then he really turned out to be morally bankrupt by leaving the way he did. It was funny to see how quickly he got back into his vices once he went out with Riva.
