The positive reviews must be from the cast

This was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The 3 'friends' were sleepwalking through it. Rick was so obnoxious and over-the-top, he was not funny. Why would Hugh return to the motel? Why would anyone let Rick drive their car? There is no humor except Rick's suppressed homosexuality, and that doesn't work. No action. Even the girls in the tub are unattractive. Don't waste your time on this one.

I felt the opposite. Rick was definitely obnoxious and over-the-top, but he was supposed to be. At first I hated him, but quickly started to like him and found him really funny.
Hugh said he had to go back for his phone, but I think he felt bad just leaving Rick behind, as Rick liked him the most out of the three friends. When it came to Rick driving the van, I don't think they had much choice, he was very very persistent. There's no action in the film because it's not that kind of film. The girls in the hot-tub are probably just the type Rick would attract.

Overall I really enjoyed it. If the madman Rick wasn't in the film, then I wouldn't recommend it, but as he is I'd highly recommend it. Once you get used to him and his insanity and get the humour, there's a lot to enjoy.
