Stop with the cartoons!

I get that a lot of younger kids love Spider-Man and all and I respect that but I'm getting a little tired of mostly every Spider-Man show being kid friendly, yes the TAS from the 90's was kid friendly but it was and it still is really frigging good. Out of all of these shows of Spider-Man my top favorite is the MTV one because it was for a more mature audience, I have a feeling once this show dies out they will make another and it will be kid friendly again I'm sick of it, as much as I love Spider-Man I want a more mature Spider-Man like from the MTV series, I didn't like Spectacular Spider-Man that much and the same goes for this one because they are kid friendly.

I really wouldn't consider a show that's heavy on story and action. Had brutal and intense fight sequences and contained themes such as a character having a heart attack, a character that had a gambling problem, a abusive father who not only got his son addicted to drugs, but also broke his own son's leg so he could frame him or death threats such as heart impalement "kid friendly."

This is in regards to Spectacular BTW. And I doubt we'll ever get a more mature Spider-man cartoon like the MTV ever again. More mature doesn't automatically mean better anyway.

The art style for Spectacular Spider-Man was very kid friendly and it just seemed like they are making these for kids, in the MTV series you could see blood on certain characters but here you don't see any just cuts, I don't even get how Ultimate Spider-Man is still going since it's not that great and that too has a kid art style tone. I'm not talking about what certain characters do in the show I'm talking about how it mostly looks.

Spectacular's art style helped provide much smoother animation and pretty dynamic fight sequences. Hell the reason why cartoon nowadays use more simple drawings is because it's much easier to animate the characters that way than it is in art that's more realistic. It's why the producer of Batman TAS and his team decided to go with more stylized drawings for Superman TAS and Justice League.

The way something looks doesn't always determine whether something is "kid friendly" or not. To do this is judging a book by it's cover. I mean imagine if South Park wasn't popular or a well known show. If people saw how the characters looked they'd probably think it was show for kids and not adults. Another example is the video game Conker's Bad Fur Day. At first glance it may look like it's for kids. Is it actually for kids? Hell no. There's also the movie Ted. People actually thought it was a kids movie at first because the main character was a "cute" teddy bear.

The reason this show is still going is because kids will literally watch anything you on TV for them. That's not really saying much though. Any show will be a success with that particular age group. And these days networks seem to care more about toy sales than ratings.

Spectacular is the only one I've seen that I can stand. The others just seem like cheap productions with bad writing.

"Oooo, lookee, a Sneerfest I can jump in on!!!"

Spider-Man is Marvel's mascot and most popular character. He is also now their main teenage character. He's going to be the one Marvel use to connect with kids.

I have a feeling the more 'mature' MTV show is regarded as a mistake by the people in charge of Marvel and Sony.
