While we can't know for sure if it's going to happen until the information comes from Meri herself (and she's not saying anything), I do think the evidence does suggest that it could be possible. I don't believe Meri has been happy for a very long time. I think she was pressured to divorce Kody so Robyn could marry him. I don't believe that it EVER had anything to do with Robyn's kids.

I think the adoption part is legit, but I've always wondered if it really was Meri's idea. I agree with you there was pressure from Kody and maybe Robin, even if it was indirect. She had to know that that is what he wanted.
