There's no doubt in my mind that Meri would've left if Sam wouldn't have turned out to be fake! How can they deny it? Isn't that the reason everybody is still upset? If it was no big deal why is there still so much tension 2 years later? Meri is emotionally gone anyway. She seems miserable!
shareI feel like Meri is in a much better place now, but things definitely aren't where they could be. But I do agree that if Sam were real, she would've left, at least back then. It's possible that things are better enough now where she wouldn't be as vulnerable to someone else as she was then.

I agree. She tries to play it down that she just needed someone to talk to but she was into it big time and yes, she was ready to enter into a relationship with him if he would have been real. Of course, that is just my opinion...
share100% and everyone knows it. You don't get 'friend catfished' you get 'relationship catfished' lol. No one would give a crap if she was 'just friends' with the guy/girl. Everyone is so upset bc she was basically having a full on online relationship with them and had one foot out the door.
shareI think a better way to phrase it is when Meri believed Scam was a man, she had started thinking about a monogamous relationship with him and how wonderful it could be. I almost think it would be a relief to Kody if Meri left. I bet he is really angry at her.
