my theory is they ran out of CGI money because of the backgrounds, that one kid was supposed to be duplicated in post production.

lol..in this version the lost boy was named "Twin"...instead of having The Twins- two boys.

I noticed something about Twins. Look closely at the pelt he wears... it's a picture of two raccoons.
