She was not pretty (IMHO), played a really awkward and 'flat' role, and those Indians certainly managed to keep her well fed.
IMHO she was one of the weaker parts of a pretty patchy mini-series.

She seemed like a really bad actress in this movie... but I've seen her in other things and she's actually pretty good, she's won some awards. I think she just wasn't directed very well, maybe? And she has been in better shape... not that her weight gain should affect her acting.

She was great as Pocahontis in NEW WORLD with Colin Farrel. Very poetic film about John Smith & Pocahontis. Loved it. She was beautiful in that also thinner. I met her at a premier and she was the sweetest young woman.
