Q: Peter where is your shadow?

I just watch this on Netflix. I did not want to watch it at first,... afraid it would spoil the versionn I have in mind for Peter Pan (it kinda did as it is a prequel)...but they showed it on TV and I missed the first hour, so I went to Netflix and watched it completely.

I did kinda like it... but at the very end of the second episode they noticed Peter had no shadow, saying:

'Peter, where is your shadow?'

Now it has been ages since I seen the Disney version, so I have no idea what is up with that.

Why does Peter not have a shadow?

And why did this fairly great piece of movie history stop at only 2 episodes in 2011?

That is the start of Peter Pan be it the Disney version or the 2003 live action version(they put a lot of Easter eggs in for the 2003 movie fans). The reason it stopped was because that part of the story had already been told countless times.

It was meant to be a prequel. The loss of his shadow is standard Peter Pan lore. Wendy eventually sews it back on for him. Although he can still let it go run errands for him every now and then. I think they just used that point to signal that you're now caught up. Peter has created the lost boys, Hook has lost his hand, and Peter lost his shadow. We already know the rest of the story.
