Thoughts and standings for Episode Five

Orlando doesn't even know who went home last night?

I'm also not liking Sally's sour grapes about Katzie getting "lucky." You haven't won ugatz yet, my dear, so you can start talking when you do.
The Quickfire--"make a candy bar"--seems deceptively straightforward. Maybe there won't be a twist, but I'll be waiting for one.
The trick, of course, is to do something that hasn't been done before. Pretty much every flavor profile has been represented in candy bars.
Rebecca gets hurt early. In terms of durability, she's the Michael Vick of this season.
On the other hand, in terms of loathsome nastiness, Orlando is the Michael Vick of this season.
Matthew's taking a risk--which is what the Quickfires are for, after all.
Unfortunately, it comes back and bites him in the posterior.
And just when I compare Orlando to the only NFL player on whom I actively wish an injury, he helps Rebecca.
How is it that I didn't know there are such things as Chocolate Pop Rocks??????
As usual, what impresses me the most is how quickly the chefs come up with their ideas and put them into practice. Caramel, for example, isn't something you do in a couple of minutes.
But some of them also miss the theme slightly. A candy bar is a BAR--the sweet equivalent to a burrito.
Of course, just when I call Sally out for not winning anything...
AND ANOTHER F'ING TEAM CHALLENGE!!!!
We're five episodes in, and we have not had a single individual elimination challenge. This is ridiculous.
And Chris and Matthew are together again.
How sweet.
With Orlando as their sour-faced chaperone.
It's embarrassing that I'm just noticing this five episodes and two seasons in - but do we ever see the chefs shop? If not, where are they getting their product? The pantry can't possibly be THAT well stocked.
Let me get this straight, Carlos - it's professional to hog the ice cream machines, but not to grab the liquid nitro if you're not using it.
My eyes almost bury themselves in my skull and hide behind my brain when I see Orlando's shorts.
So they get to the site, the cooking is done...
And we get a bunch of scenes that make me realize that, sometimes, I'd give a lot to be five years old again.
Except for being in Sister Mary Catherine's class. <shudder>
It's about time we see Dannielle again.
Not for nothing, but this is the second drink Chris has made, not counting the soda jerk quickfire.
Orlando seems to be in trouble.
I'm so upset about that.
And Johnny seems to be as much of a stickler for terminology as Tom Colicchio is.
Matthew, did you not see the judges coming toward your station? You should have been halfway through plating before they got there, and finished while Chris and Orlando were presenting their desserts.
It's looking like the Green Team is going for the win.
And the Blue Team is definitely in trouble.
Maybe Sally should have asked the judges to talk to Amanda before her.
OK, show of hands - who laughed their asses off at Chris' important public safety announcement?
I'm a little disappointed we didn't get to see Johnny in a bathing suit.
Nice to see Katzie get a second win in a row.
And nice to see Orlando and Sally showing their true colors.
I love Gail's reaction to Orlando's attitude. She's seen it before, and she's left a trail of new ones ripped.
So after the grilling, I'm thinking Amanda or Carlos. I can't see Orlando going home when they still need a villain and Melissa is gone.
