So ... Is He Still In The Hood?

First I saw Straight Outta Compton, and then Boyz N The Hood, and somehow I wound up watching this film. It is not related to either film and I am not even sure this is a film.

Let's see if I understand this properly:

Straight Outta Compton is about a bunch of guys from the hood who become successful. One of the things that the men do is make Boyz N The Hood.

Boyz N The Hood stars one of the men Straight Outta Compton is about. It is much darker, and as described from Straight Outta Compton, is an "Afterschool Special". The characters from that film do not become successful and the only positive things that happened to them (those who survived) is that they changed their ways and went to college. But the actors from the film became successful.

Snow On Tha Bluff seems to be about a guy in The Hood whose filming style is the darkest of all. Some events are improvised, while others are reenacted. Either way the events are real, including the drugs and the weapons. The star Curtis Snow ended up going to jail during the film's release. In an interview (while still in jail) he says he does not make a lot of money from the sales of the film.

So in the case of Snow On That Bluff, the star does not become successful and didn't even get to move out of The Hood. LOL.
