I can't believe I like this show...
I actually chuckled a couple of times and the spoofs are clever.

shareI like it. Now THIS is the TV-adaptation of the famous magazine.
This is better than MAD-TV and 20 times more entertaining than SOUTH PARK.
Because SOUTH PARK is getting too much air-time every night.
...And because SP is overly crude, intolerant, unfunny, and tries way too hard.
Gentleness is not weakness. It is strength under control.

Random2004, does the expression "Variety is the Spice of Life" mean anything to you?

Variety doesn't always mean "pleasant quantity".
There are a "variety" of human beings, but many are killers, rapists, thieves, pedophiles, abusers, addicts, etc.
There are a variety of plants, but plenty are poisonous.
There are a variety of foods, but some taste like decaying donkey anus, and can make you sick.
I agree with you Thorn Harvestar.
Yeah, this show is funny. Some of the jokes have me laughing.
sharejust watched the show thanks to that my little warhorse(MLP FIM parody) and i gotta say, its pretty whacky and funny. pretty entertaining stuff :D
shareThe people who make this show are very plugged in to the style of the magazine back in the sixties and even earlier; there's a Basil Woolverton character walking around in the show open and that's a reference to the very earliest days of MAD. Consequently, the show is very much like the magazine was then: lots of wacky satire of movies and TV shows, Dave Berg style real life humor, unique graphics, not always belly-laugh funny but consistently amusing in its own distinctive way. As someone who grew up reading the magazine, I appreciate what they're doing, even if it doesn't always make me laugh out loud.
