Does anyone else see the similarities between Wu Xia and Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes? I'm particularly noticing the first action sequence in Wu Xia, where events are dissected and replayed as the detective investigates the evidence.
Actually. Both sort of seemed to lift some style from the CSI television shows...

In a book about director Peter Chan, he said: "At one point in the script development phase, someone pointed out that the plot resembled an episode of CSI. I was inclined to agree despite never having seen the show. To me, House was the more obvious influence - Takeshi Kaneshiro’s character was definitely inspired by Dr. Gregory House."
