Where did the rum go? I mean Money go?

IMDB says the Budget was $100,000,000 and the animal characters look worse then you would find in a no budget stage play.
The CGI was cool in some aspects but fail majorly 90% of the time.
So yeah i wanna know where the money went.

As we grow we learn, i have learned that if you don't like me grow up or ignore me.

U would think that one movie of this caliber is already a waste, but it's a trilogy.

reply

I know that it's a trilogy but still, it does not explain where the money went. It could not have gone on wardrobe, makeup and costumes. The CGI is horrible 90% of the time and the acting is not the best.

That's what I was saying mate.
Spending that much on a single movie was already bad enough, but they have more to come!
Expect more waste.

All I am saying is: Gosh! U are sooo right. They could not have possibly spent so much for that final result.
It's borderline criminal!

Yeah me thinks someone is cooking the books here. Unless it's not in USD and IMDB screwed up. Unless they filmed the movies back to back i doubt the other two will be made.

It's in dollars no doubt. other sites give 88M$ as the official budget.

As for the other two parts, although I sincerely hope they would never make it to the market, I am having a distinct feeling that they are either already done or near complete.

Well, I base that on intuition only.

We shall see.

What im hoping is that the $100,000,000 is for the trilogy but even then thats way too much to pay for such a horrible outcome.

Everything looks.... BAD... I tried rewatching it tonight with my brother who loves Asian films too and half way through he asked me to turn it off.

It's just horrible, the costumes are at the same level as a school play and the acting is about the same too. Which is a shame, i really wanted to see a great Monkey King Movie. I enjoyed Stephen Chow's A Chinese Odyssey Parts 1 and 2. I'm also a fan of Yun-Fat Chow.

I do believe something underhanded has happened here for that money just to go into what we see here.

I'm 100% in line with U on that pretense of a movie. lol
