Pilgrimage to India, but not even a single Indian in Cast

Looking at the cast, it looks like most of the movie will deal with scenarios in China. But if they plan on including any scenes of Monkey King in ancient Indian subcontinent, I hope they do not show us few more Chinese faces and call them Indians. They differ vastly in their appearances even though they are neighboring countries.

Did you take your time to read the "Storyline"?

This is the part where Monkey wrecks havoc in heaven. They haven't even set off yet, much less reached India.

Your Exactly Right But this is not Journey to the west but rather the birth of Sun WuKong Story as Part 1 in which takes place in more in Mongolia China.

How is it Mongolia China? The novel is base on the travels of an actual Buddhist monk during the early Tang Dynasty, the second Tang emperor... it's several century before Mongolian Yang Dynasty. Additionally the pre-journey "Havoc in Heaven" happen 500 years before the Journey. Any mortal realm scene would technically be the Han Dynasty.

because indian market are poor and wont sell in China, how hard is it to comprehend ?

Wow not sure if trolling, they journey to the west TO what was then known as "India" they do not encounter any Indians on the way to my knowledge. However it is likely that they DO upon arriving. Granted when you made the post the movie was not out yet. This movie was a debacle visually, and its interpretation of the source material and other previous TV and Movie renditions. I must say now that the movie is out, we see the origins of monkey king, we are not introduced to the story of "Journey to the West", the movie sets the premise for what will be the journey.

You are correct as I've never seen an Indian portrayal of when the team actually gets to the West and receives the scriptures. But essentially this story has never been about the end, or getting the scrolls, this is definitively a story about the JOURNEY and lessons learned, friendship, loyalty etc yada yada yada. That could be the reason why none of of the aforementioned live action portrayals ever really have a scene of them getting the scrolls because it really isn't that important.
